Daily Rewards System Evolution
Overview
The Daily Rewards system was redesigned to improve both the first-time user experience and long-term player engagement. The goal was to create a system that not only rewarded players consistently but also clearly communicated value, progression, and anticipation over time.
The Challenge
The original system lacked clarity and failed to create a strong incentive for daily return. Players were not fully aware of the value of rewards or how progression worked, which reduced engagement and weakened retention.
Additionally, the onboarding experience for new players did not effectively introduce the system, making it easy to overlook or misunderstand.
Final Version
Concept/Early Version
The Solution
The redesigned system introduced a structured and visually clear progression model that guided players through their daily rewards journey. Rewards were presented in a more engaging way, with improved hierarchy, clearer milestones, and better visual feedback.
Special attention was given to the onboarding experience (FTUE), ensuring that new players immediately understood the value and purpose of the system.
Experience in Motion
7-day coins FTUE
This version focused on simplicity and clarity, helping players quickly understand how daily rewards function.
28-day multicurrency FTUE
This expanded version introduced deeper progression and multiple reward types, increasing long-term engagement and perceived value.
Impact
The redesigned system improved player understanding and created a stronger sense of progression and reward anticipation. Players were more likely to return daily, and the system became a meaningful part of the overall player experience.
Closing Insight
This project reinforced the importance of clarity, onboarding, and progression design in building systems that drive long-term engagement.
